Our Story

Hi! I'm Jessica, and I'm the owner of Untamed Roots Co, as well as Cozy Lodge Crochet!

I have been into all types of jewelry for as along as I can remember. In fact, when I was in high school, I decided that it was going to be my career path! I did remote learning through The Gemological Institue of America where I became a Graduate Gemologist, which is a fancy way of saying I studied gemstones and metals. I worked in the jewelry industry for over 10 years, doing everything from sales of high end jewelry and watches, to watchmaking, appraisals, gem identification, and diamond grading. While I absolutely loved my journey through the industry, my true passion has always been in design.

Acrylic and wood has given me an amazing array of possibilities- they truly are endless! I love that every day, I get to come up with new and exciting things to bring to my customers. What I love even more is the level of expertise and knowledge I can bring along to my designs, and know that I am creating affordable, long-lasting pieces with a high quality feel. My goal is to always create something that will stand the test of time- both in design and materials.

When I'm not spending time with my wonderful family, you can find me reading, gaming, baking, or crocheting... which normally spurs on more designs. Most of the time, I end up back at the laser with another idea in my head I'm dying to bring to life!
